Thailand is poised to attract substantial investment, with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google, and Microsoft collectively committing a noteworthy 300 billion baht ($8.46 billion). 

This was announced by a government spokesperson on Wednesday. Each company is set to contribute 100 billion baht to this strategic investment initiative.

In a separate statement, it was revealed that AWS intends to establish a cutting-edge data center with a budget of $5 billion spread over 15 years. ‘

The Thai government, optimistic about the impact of AWS’s investment, sees it as a catalyst for enhancing the nation’s competitiveness on the global stage. 

The Prime Minister, expressing confidence in the positive outcomes of this venture, anticipates a transformative effect on Thailand’s economic landscape.

Also, Microsoft and Google are actively exploring plans for substantial investments in large-scale data centers within Thailand.
